How do I print an entire powerpt slide show saved as web pg?

There is an entire power point slide show that has been saved by an
instructor as a web page. How can I print the entire slide show without
having to manually print each slide? I am using internet explorer 6.0. The
slides are saved through Vista WebCT. Thanks for any help.

No idea if this will work or not, but try opening the file in the web
browser and using File|Save As. Choose "web archive -- MHT/MHTML" format.
Then open the MHT file and print it.

Otherwise, see if your instructor will give you the HTML file and the
associated folder of files. You can open that HTML file in PPT and it will
open as a presentation. Then just print it. And save as PPT for your
classmates. :)

Oh, I bet you can also open PPT and then File|Open and type the path to the
presentation (http://www.blahblahblah.com/presentation_name.ppt) into the
OPEN box... Ah, yeah! Just tried it, and it does work!

I tried saving the file first as a web archive. The page saved ok, but I am
having the same problem trying to print the slides.

I tried opening PPT and when I typed in the path, I got an error message. I
am not sure what to put in the first box that wants me to choose where the
file is located.

Sorry to be so much bother, but this really has me stumped and I am certain
there is something I am missing.

Thanks for any additional help you can provide. :)

If the prof's a decent sort, you might request that the original PPT file or a
PDF of same be uploaded to WebCT as well as the html version.

I just hit cancel here when prompted for the username/pass for the web, and
then it prompted me to open the file as read only.

When I tried this and opened with ppt, just one slide was there, and it was
blank. I am obviously doing something wrong. I have a request in to the
professor, but am yet to hear anything. It is just too hard to review 20 ppt
presentations about 35 to 40 slides a piece on the screen. I need paper so I
can make notes. I appreciate any assistance you can offer.

A little background:

When PowerPoint saves presentations as HTML, it includes a ton of extra
information that allows it to reopen the HTML and convert it back to a PPT
identical to the one the HTML came from in the first place.

That's why Echo's suggestions will work. Sometimes.

But PPT's HTML doesn't always play nicely when contained by other HTML pages, so
a lot of these online learning systems use other methods of converting native
PPT files to HTML or other formats. Since the resulting HTML doesn't include
all the extra stuff, it's often much faster to view but PPT can't make anything
of it. I suspect that's what you're seeing.

Thanks for the explanation. This is whole new world for me, and I would
really like to understand what is going on so that I may have some
comprehension going forward. I appreciate your help.
