How do I print a Background

In the excel form that I am creating, people will be filling out the cells by
hand. It is important that they do not write in the margins, because the
filled out forms will be faxed in, and what is written in the margins won't
come through. I want to fill the margins with something like "Do not write
outside the border". Does any one know how to get this effect, and have it
print about 1" wide, all the way around the edge and as close to the edge as
possible.

Maybe you could add a textbox or two to the first column (and last column, first
row and last row, too).

If you select the textbox, you can even:
format|Text box|alignment tab
and make your characters vertical.

If this won't work, maybe it's time for cutting and pasting.

But I really mean cutting with an exacto knife.

Print some text the way you want.

cut it out and paste it to a new sheet of paper where you want the text.

Xerox that "template" and load that into your printer before you print your
worksheet.

Depending on your printer, you may not be able to get as close as you want.
Some printers reserve a margin so the paper can be "grabbed" and fed through the
printer.
