How do I prevent Outlook from eliminating e-mails from my Inbox?

In the last week my Outlook has stopped retaining in the Inbox my e-mails
that are more than 3 or 4 days old. How do I stop it from deleting/moving
the older e-mails? Thanks,

It doesn't do this natively. Do you perhaps have a filter applied to your
Inbox View or turned on AutoArchive?

Views: View-> Arrange By-> Custom...
AutoArchive-> Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button AutoArchive...

Roady [MVP],

Thank you very much for the response. I'm not sure that this will fix
it--but it might. I returned the autoarchive settings to the default
settings, so I will see if that helps. I didn't see anything in the View
section that indicated a problem (I had tried these things before). In
general I would suggest that you be a little more descriptive in your
responses; a lot of us out here are really dumb.

Thanks again tho for trying to help--I really appreciate it.

I'd like to be more descriptive but I can't with the amount of information
you are giving me. Important things are always version of Outlook, type of
account(s), steps to reproduce, steps you took to try to solve, error
messages and any other info that you can provide concerning your issue.

It is Outlook 2003, part of Office Professional Edition 2003. It is an aol
account labeled imap.aol.com. I don't know about "steps to reproduce"; as
for steps to solve, I did what you suggested, as I mentioned in my last
message. I'm sorry that I don't have a better grasp of the technical details.

Do the messages get removed from your AOL account as well when you look at
it through your webbased interface?
