How do I prevent children from browsing the internet. XP Pro

Hi,

My boss' kids are browsing porn on the internet, and he wants to cut off all
internet access unless he is there. Does anyone know of a way to prevent a
user from either connecting, or browsing the internet?

I was thinking of creating a login for the kids with no internet access, and
then creating a separate internet logon that my boss could use to sign them
on when he is there. Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

tell him to create a second use on that system for the kids alone (control
panel / users / create new user)

so the welcome screen has 2 account, his with a password of course

make the kids account a "guest" account and use the IE secueity settings to
restrict sites.

Deny access to Iexplore.exe - that means NFTS and Simple File Sharing
turned off though...

Try ZoneAlarm w/Web Filtering...You'll have two options (options are
password protected and can only be changed by the admin)Allow the children
to access the web with strong filtering, or engage the "internet lock"
where no internet connection is allowed by any program trying to access. (It
doesn't work to disallow Internet Explorer since it's easy to get another
browser. ) The problem w/ individual accts w/no acccess is that when
Bossman's home and allows them to get on they have to get on under another
acct that has access...an acct which doesn't have their settings, favorites,
etc. If they go in under their father's acct they can make changes to their
own. If they're viewing porn they can probably do that! W/the ZoneAlarm,
a simple password and unengage internet lock opens all users to access or
blocks them.

Somehow the problem is not the computer. More like a discipline problem
with the kids. I would password protect the machine and they would not even
get on until I let them period. They want to act like idiots then I would
treat them like it.

With seprate account each account has a password so no the chidren can not
get on under the fathers account as it will be locked when not in use

Also each account can have its own setttings, desktop, resolution,
favorites, documents. and this way u do not have to worry about your kids
seeing your documents, favorites and they can have their own with out it all
getting mixed together.
