How do I prevent automatic downloading of email.

With Office 2000 I downloaded email only when I clicked send/receive. Can I
set Office 2007 to do the same thing?

There are two settings within Outlook, mail acounts
1) Send/Receive on starting
2) Poll for new mail every xx minutes
turn them both off
