How do I place the database on the users desktops?

After placing security and splitting the database, how do I place the
database on the users desktops for their easy access?
 
Depends how many users there are. You can install it yourself or they can
install it. Just tell them where it is and how to install it.
You also need to think about how you will handle updates.

Make sure that the users make a copy of it, rather than creating a shortcut.
I have one person who insists on making shortcuts, which means she is running
the front-end from the server share that it is on.

Some days it feels like I'm herding cats.
