How do I place text over a movie in PowerPoint?

Hi,

I've recently bought a pack of mpeg1 videos to play in PowerPoint. I can
put the videos on a slide and put text over the video.
However when I view my show the video plays, but the text that is meant to
be on top of the video disappears.

You try it, get an mpeg1 video off the internet, put it into PowerPoint, put
a text box with writing in it over your video, then view the slide show, the
text disappears.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Unfortunately, you can't. Video's are always on top.

Easy Worship by Softtouch will do what you want. Unfortunately, it doesn't
allow for rapid transitions on video, but it will allow you to place text on
top. (But I agree, you should be able to place text on videos, and without
textbox outlines in Powerpoint. It would definitely solve a lot of issues for
what I am doing!)
