How do I permanentely delete files? [my outlook file is 2gig]

My outlook file is getting bigger and bigger, even after I delete items &
empty the deleted folder.
How do I permanetely delete the files so that I can no longer get to them,
so that they are gone forever, [I don't care to be able to 'recover' them]
and the Outlook file is smaller?

You need to compact. Right-click on Outlook Today in the folders pane,
select "Proprties" click on Advanced and click on "Compact now".

Once you do that, compact the PST. Right-click Outlook Today or Personal
Folders, choose Properties, then Advanced, then Compact Now.
