How do I overcome Access can't start because no license?

I have used MS Office 97 Professional Edition for years with no problems, on
WIN 95 & WIN 98. On my new computer, running WIN XP Home Edition, although
all the other components (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) open and function as
normal, ACCESS will not open; instead, I receive this message: "Microsoft
Access Can't Start Because There Is No License For It On This Computer".

I have tried reloading MS OFFICE 97 completely, reloading ACCESS alone
completely, running Office Setup in Maintenance mode, all with the same
result - everything works fine except ACCESS, which will not open and gived
the above "No License" message?

Can anybody help? I have already looked at Microsoft Support's Article ID
141373 which refers to the hatten.ttf font causing this problem, but I cannot
find this font on my computer. The rest of that Article relates to versions
of Windows other than XP.

Please email me at: (e-mail address removed) if you can help. I don't know
where else to turn!

Thanks,

Mel Anthony

Thanks - I searched harder for the hatten font, found it under a name
variation, followed the suggested procedure, and all now seems OK. What a
crazy bug!!<
