How do I open .ram files with great sounds?

No problems are m3u [mp3] links for me found at
http://www.drummerworld.com/drummersound/ - files like
johnbohnhammobylive1.m3u - simonphillipsprotocol.m3u -
Chicohamiltonbignoise.m3u - ianpaicemule.m3u

But I got 155 .ram files from there, top drummers with top bands,
and though there are more than 1 GB finest mp3 and mpg drum music
available, I would like to open files like these:
GradyTatehampton.ram - philcollinsthompson.ram - simonphillipssolo.ram

A while ago I could open them with the Alternative Media Player
from the mega-codec-pack site, but after a crash I don't know what
'settings' I had there ...

Thanks a lot, it really does - though I need DirectX9 again,
which the alternative Media Player didn't like.

What is "DirectX9?" How does it work? Is it safe and spy-free?

At the beginning of installation of jet audio a sign comes up saying:
This program requires 'DirectX 9' ...
version 9c from Mickeysoft - 7,7 MB
And 'Media Player Classic' de-installed it before installation!
 
This may be a dumb question but were you referring to the Real Player
Altermative from Free-Codecs.com?
