How do I open "qpw" files in XP WORKS OR excel?

Have new lap-top with WINDOWS XP. trying to transfer "qwp' files generated on
PC with WINDOWS 98SP.
On WORKS get following "Works cannot open file selected. File may be
corrupted or may be a file type that spreadsheet cannot open."
On EXCEL " file format is not valid
In both cases tried to open using "all file types'

It appears as if qwp may be associated with Quiptics Puzzle File:

In any case, it is not related to using Microsoft Access database software,
which is the topic of this newsgroup.

"qwp" or "qpw"? "qpw" may be a Quattro Pro Project file. Aside from
Quattro Pro, I don't know what program might be able to read it.
