How do I open multiple worksheets each in its own tab

I'm trying to open multiple Excel files and have them all appear in the same
workbook with each sheet in its own tab, but the Open command puts everything
into its own window instead of adding it to the a new tab in the existing
window. I can manually create a new tab and copy and paste the contents of
another sheet into it but there must be an easier way!!!

Hi,

This is the only way Excel behaves. It never opens all selected files into
one workbook as individual tabs.

Hi gerschwynne,

There is a way might help you, but you need to put your worksheets in/as
separated Excel files.
Open the first one, then minimize only the worksheet (not the whole window).
And then open the other files and minimize them.

Now you can edit your different worksheet without any need to change the
window.

Why didn't you put all the worksheets in one big Excel file in the first
place? Your computer memory limits how many worksheets there can be in a
workbook.
