How do I open emails maximised?

When I open an email from my inbox it always opens in the "restored down"
version, i.e. in a small window. How do I ensure that they open "maximised"
so that they occupy the full screen?
 
Adjust the smaller window (with the single box in the upper right) to expand
it to the size you want and Outlook will remember the setting next time.
