How do I open an existing Access 2000 file in Access XP?

Have a database done in Access 2000, but no longer have the software. Cannot
get it to open using Access XP? No access to online network (only personal
computer) Thanks for any help or suggestion...
 
Access 2002 can natively read Access 2000 files, so the problem is not with
the file format.

What error message do you receive?

What happens when you try to open it? AccessXP not only is *able* to
read A2000 format, it uses A2000 format by default for new databases!
Do you perhaps have Security enabled on the database? If so you'ld get
prompted for a username and password.
