How do I open a .eml file in Outlook 2007?

When I get a FWD in my Outlook 2007 it tells me this
"This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following program

Microsoft Office Outlook message and item previewer

To open this file in it's own program, double click it"

Outlook 2003 used to open the eml files, does Outlook 2007 not do this?

..eml files are opened using Outlook Express, not Outlook. Outlook opens ..msg files.

so what happens when you double click on it? The message references the
preview capability, which outlook 2003 does not support.

Nothing happend, that was just it, Windows Vista Mail could not open them
either. I did find my solution though. While it is not an issue with Gmail,
it is an issue with Google Desktop. I uninstalled that and it works fine now.
Had the same issue on my wifes XP machine, removed Google Desktop and it
works as it is suposed to.
