how do I open a comma delimted file so that all the fields are seperated
 
Open an excel file. Go to Data-> Import External Data->Import Data

Change the Open File dialog that appears to show all file types. Find
and open your CSV file.

In the wizard that appears, select Delimited File then check the box
near the comma.
