how do I make words scroll?

Hi I was wondering if there is any way to make words scroll slow down the
page in powerpoint. Me and my friend are making a movie and I want it to be
like the credits at the end of a movie if you know what I mean. If anybody
could help that would be great! thanks

Create your credits in a text box. Select Slideshow menu, then Custom
animation, choose - Effects 'Fly', From 'Top', and untick Grouped by. Then
drag your text box to the bottom of the slide so it is outside the slide area.

What PowerPoint version are you using?
In PowerPoint 2002/XP and above,
Add a textbox and type the words in.
Then, drag the textbox out of the slide, to the top of the slide.
Click Slide Show > Custom Animation.
Click Add Effect > Entrance > Fly In.
Set the speed of your preference.
Set direction as "From Bottom".
Double click on the effect to bring up the effect options.
Click on Text animation.
Make sure it is group as one object.

PowerPoint 2000 and below should be similar to this.

The above post is how movie credits work. If you want it to scroll from top
to bottom, then drag the textbox to the bottom instead of top, and set the
direction "From Top" instead of "From Bottom".

I like it the smooth fade in/out is very soft.
On the slide I sent, i was obliged to swipe out the master because of
pictures and special animations as background (cjoint.com is limited to 500
Ko by now) and my only slide made about 2.2 Mo!
thanks again

Hi I think I got most of it down, but can someone help me with making the
slides go smoothly like it should at the end of a movie? I just want it to
keep scrolling you know? If anyone wants me to email my powerpoint to them to
see what I mean I'll be happy to.
