How do I make the envelope icon appear when I have new messages?

I did a manual send/receive in Outlook 2003 and now the envelope icon doesn't
appear in my system tray when I receive new messages. Does anyone know how to
fix this? Thanks.
 
Tools, Options, E-mail options, Advanced e-mail Options. Check the box for
show an envelope icon when new mail arrives.
