How do I make something move within a shape

I want to make my fill pattern move within a fixed shape in Powerpoint. Can
anyone help me with this?

Hi

I would approach this using a large box with your fill and a motion path,
and covering the slide with a box with the right shape cut out. I can make
you a video if you want to know more - let me know what version.

There are probably neater, easier ways to do it but seeing as no-one else
has offered a suggestion yet I thought I might as well chime in :)
