How do I lock cells in a table when adding text?

I've noticed that in my FP 2003 that when I add a table and begin typing text
that the cells resize themselves. For example, I want to add a table at the
top of the page with 26 cells for the alphabet and when I typed in the letter
"A" the cell resized. I want them to remain the same without having to go in
and select a specific size for each cell. My 2002 version didn't do this.
I'm assuming it's a simple setting.

When you are typing your text, hit the space bar occasionally so that it
can, in fact, wrap. A long unbroken string of text will break any table....

This is normal. The cells will resize in proportion to their content.
When you have typed a letter into all 26 cells, they will be sized
according to the size of the letter - the letter I will be in a
smaller cell than the W.
