I had to split a presentation in 2 because i had reached the link limit, and
all my links were getting messed up, now I have to re-do the links, but how
can i make a link from one presentation to a specific slide in the other, and
not the first slide of the other presentation?

thank u

Place some sort of object on your slide, right-click that object and select
"Action Settings", click the "Hyperlink to" dropdown and select "Other
PowerPoint presentation". Browse to and select the desired presentation.
if it has more than one slide a dialog box will pop up asking which slide to
link to. When you select the desired sldie, make sure you click the
"Highlight Click" checkbox at the bottom left of the action Settings dialog
box. That way when you hover over the object your mouse changes.

For some reason i don't get that pop up window that asks what slide to link
to, it just links to the first page of the presentation automatically without
giving me a choice, maybe i'm doing something wrong?

thank you for your reply

i actually just noticed that what yo said does work when i try to link to
other presentations, but for some reason it doesn't pop up when i want to
link to the presentation i need to link to, the only difference between
this presentations and the other ones is that this one is much larger, could
his be a reason? is there a way to fix this?

Do the slide titles in the presentation in question have commas in them?

Are there commas in the slide titles? That can confuse things.
