How do I link contact phone numbers to a task

I'm trying to get a contact phone numbers to appear in a task in MS Outlook
2003.
Anybody have experience in this?

On the task's form, enter the contact's name (or the first letters of it)
into the Contacts field and press ALT-K to resolve the name. You can then
always open the contact by double-clicking on the underlined name.
