I am designing a website for my boss. I use XP with a standard monitor and IE
6.0, my boss uses Win 2000 with a flat screen. When he opens the site the
browser displays a huge margin on the right, but when I display my page on my
browser it shows correctly.

You could use % values for your tables, and then set tables to be 100 or 95%
or similar.

That might cause other formatting issues however.

It's best that your Boss learn that web pages tend to look different on
different computers and stop worrying about it.

WWW !== Print.

Place all content in a table that is in a table and user percent % instead
of fixed width and make the boss happy or I will have you back in the fields
picking cotton
