how do i keep formatting in excel when converting to adobe pdf?

when converting an excel document, i lose formatting when converting to adobe
pdf. how do i get the formatting to stay when converting to adobe pdf?

I suppose you are converting the excel to PDF file, without any special
function.
By the way, may I know how do you convert it to the PDF ? You should be
using the print -> Select Acrobat Distiller as your printer, am I right?

By doing that should not cause you to lose anything in your PDF. Please let
me know if you are using other software/method, then we can take a further
look.
