How do I intergrate or slipstream ie 6 into the Windows 2000sp4 installation
media? I have figured out how to get all the updates except Ie6. I haven't
tried directX or Media player yet either? Any help would be great. When I
install I would like to be done and not have to go to windows update. I have
built office cd's no problem with all the updates.

The only way I've found to integrate IE6 is to have it installed in the last
phase of an unattended install. You'll need to run setup manager to set this
up. In one of the last screens it will ask if you want any commands to run
after Windows is finished installing (not a command to run the first time a
user logs on). You'll need to copy IE6SP1 (ie6setup.exe) to the $oem$ folder
of your Windows install directory, and the command to run is ".\ie6setup.exe
/q" with quotes! As long as IE6 (ie6setup.exe) is in the $oem$ directory it
should run. You'll need an internet connection in order for this to work,
however, as IE6 is really downloaded from a Microsoft FTP site. This is the
only way I've found to integrate IE6.

On a related note, you seem to have gotten farther in the process than I
have. I'm not able to integrate updates using the instructions provided in
KB828930. My main problem is with the updates that don't include update.exe
version 5.4.15.0 or later. I have been COMPLETELY incapable of integrating
these updates even if I follow the instructions to a 'T'. So, please, how
did you get these updates to integrate? Thanks in advance and let me know if
you have any additional problems.
