How do i install a handwritten font from a letter I recieved?

A friend wrote me a letter. I love her handwriting and I want to use it in
Word for class assignments and so forth, But I have no idea how to do this.
Could someone please help me. I am computer stupid!!!!

If you search Google, you will find programs that allow you to create your
own font. I don't know how easy or hard that is to do because I have no
need. I have almost 1000 fonts on my computer so the *last* thing I need is
to create my own. (My own handwriting really sucks so it's better all the
way around if I avoid doing that.)

Why don't you ask her what the font she used is called and then install that
font?

I think the letter was Handwritten, and the OP wants to create a font based
on her friends handwriting...

Sandi: Having created a font in the past, I have to say this is not a task
to be taken lightly.
Assuming the handwriting is 'joined up' it will be very difficult to design
the font so that all any letter joins up with all combinations of other
letters properly.

As JoAnn mentioned in her post, there is plenty of free font creation
software around, so why not give it a go and see how you get on...
