I want to automatically insert the address of a file in my document footer
viz: c:\documents and settings\user\my documents\somefile. How do I do it?

In previous Word's there were a number of fields that could be entered in
headers and footers. Are they still available and where are they to be found?

Thank you.

Hi David,

You can do this using a FILENAME field with the \p switch. See under Insert|Fields. Another way to insert the field is to:
.. Ctrl-F9 to create a pair of field braces ('{}')
.. type 'FILENAME \p' between braces, so that you end up with '{FILENAME \p}'
.. then press F9 to update the display.

Cheers
