i am trying to put descriptive text in a picture for a web business so
customers can see color choices but cant get the names in the colors. any
help would be appreciated.

What version of Word are you using? Can you provide more description about
what you're doing and exactly what difficulty you're encountering. To be

exactly what you're doing.

Herb,
thanks for replying im using Word 2002 // i have overlapped two photos and
one of the photos has a stack of 4 colors // all im wanting to do is type in
the color name of the solid color over that color. i see it done all the
time but cant figure out how to "overwrite" the color name onto the picture
// i will be doing this with a few different sets but this is the first and
hopefully the most difficult (for me)

If the picture is In Line With Text, use a text box (No Line, No Fill) with
In Front of Text wrapping to put text in front of the picture.
