how do I insert a row in a pivot table?

i need to insert a row with the date into a pivot table. any ideas? please
help!

If you simply want to print the date on the same page as the Pivot table, use
Page Setup.

Another option is to enter the date in the column adjacent to the Pivot table.

Otherwise, tell us why you would want to insert a row in a Pivot table.

I am sorry, I meant data. I need to insert a row in the pivot table and am
unable to do so... thanks!!!

But why isn't the data in the source table? Isn't that the best place for it?

You still haven't given us any idea of what data you want to insert, where in
the table, etc.

If you want a brute force solution, copy the pivot table, and paste special>
values. Now you can modify the table to your heart's content.
