How do I insert a logo from Word to a PowerPoint slide

I am a new PowerPoint 2003 user and want to insert a logo from a Word
document to a PowerPoint slide. I've tried to follow the suggestions from
the Help menu but am having no luck. I'm sure this must be simple - can
someone offer step by step suggestions?

Can you click on the logo, select Copy from the Edit menu, switch to
PowerPoint, and select Paste from the Edit menu? That would certainly be
the easiest, if not the best, way to do it.

David,

I had previously tried the method you suggested and when I hit paste, a
completely unrelated picture would get copied onto the slide! I just tried it
again following your instructions and it worked. I guess it just needed to
know that I was operating with some authority and not just as a rookie.
Thanks for your prompt response. I'll also take a look at your website.
Thanks again!

It's a good idea to start both programs up first, then do the copy/paste. Some
addins use the clipboard for their own purposes at startup; that can overwrite
whatever you put on the clipboard.

And oooooh, is that annoying!
