Our office has quite a few templates to add into Word 2003 and I noticed Word
only lists 4 recently used templates. Can I increase this number and what is
the maximum?

You can increase it up to nine.

Actually that is the recently used documents, not templates. Sorry. Don't
know how to change the new file task pane; don't think you can. I use the
new file dialog instead.

If you want to, you can create a menu of your favorite templates.
http://addbalance.com/word/templatesmenu.htm If you want to share this menu,
you would need to create a global template and share it.

Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the number of templates
displayed, but MS is aware of this desire, and I hope this will change in
Word 12.
