I previously did a lot of work using the Batang and MS Mincho fonts in W2000.
Since switching to XPP they do not appear, can anyone suggest how i can
obtain them and import them into XPP ?

Many thanks in anticipation

I believe they are included automatically in Windows XP (and 2000) if you
have installed support for East Asian languages.

Sorry, I should have been more precise. W2000 (W2K) is Windows 2000 and XPP
is Windows XP Pro. I have seen the list telling me that these fonts are
included with XP Pro but I have done all the updates (SP2) and do not have
them...I have also installed Office 2003. I have looked at a W2k disk and
have tried to copy/paste into my fonts folder but it is a compressed file
that my system cannot open..

How can I download the support for East Asian languages as suggested below ?

many thanks for your attempt to help

Forgive me - what's XPP? And I'm guessing W2000 means Word 2000 and not
Windows 2000.

Batang was included with several Microsoft programs. Please see
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/font.aspx?FID=25&FNAME=Batang&FVER=2.21
to find out which one you'd need.
