how do I hyperlink to a specific Excel worksheet from outside Exce

I want to be able to hyperlink to a specific Excel worksheet from other
applications, mainly Word, Outlook and Inspiration, regardless of which was
the current sheet when the workbook was last saved / viewed.
 
This kind of hyperlink worked for me in MSWord:
C:\My Documents\excel\book1.xls#sheet2!c99
