How do I hyperlink to a current calendar page?

I want to do 2 things: first, display a small calendar and allow the user to
hyperlink to events for a particular date and second, list events by area and
hyperlink to the current event date for recurring events. For example, if an
event takes place daily through December 31 and the event is listed on a
particular city's page, I would like to hyperlink from the city page to the
event page for the date when the user access the information. In other
words, a user looks at a listing of events for Metropolis and clicks on "A
Big Show" which runs daily through December 31. If the user clicks on the "A
Big Show" hyperlink on December 3, I want the user to be directed to a
separate page that has the events for December 3, whereas if the user clicks
on December 4, he will be directed to the December 4 page.

Search for a prewritten event calendar application written in scripting language that is supported
by web host.

Stefan,

I have the calendar but still am not sure how to link from a listing of
events directly to the calendar page for a specific date. Does this program
do that? Thank you!

I downloaded it and have been trying it. The calendar portion is
user-friendly. I cannot however figure out how (1) to input recurring events
so that I do not need to paste them on every calendar page or (2) how to link
a listing of the event to the current calendar page. It may be that I need
to be familiar with code to do this - and I'm totally not familiar with it.

Ok, then you would need to search for an application that support entering of recurring events.

It doesn't support recurring events unless you add them using custom server side coding (which is does support)
