How do I hyperlink from top of email to later in the same email?

I followed the instructions in Word for hyperlinking within the same document
and saved in HTML format. When I copy and paste the info into an Outlook
message, all Web site and email links transfer. The links within the document
do not. I don't know how to create a link from the top of the email message
to later in the email message from within Outlook itself.

Interesting problem! How about if you eliminate the copy-and-paste
step, and use Word directly as email editor?

I was trying to work with an existing Outlook template. Copy pasting the
entire Word document seems to have carried the links. Now I want to save this
new email as a template. Everything I find on the Microsoft site tells me I
have to turn off using Word as the Outlook Editor feature in order to make a
template. I'm stymied.

Close and save the message, which will put it in your Drafts folder. Turn off Word as the email editor. Open the message from Drafts and save it as an .oft template file. Turn WordMail back on.
