At one time when I clicked on Unread Mail in the Favorites Folder it only
showed folders that contained unread messages in the Unread Mail folder. Now
empty folders that at one time contained unread messages are appearing. How
do I get back to how it worked before?

Start Outlook once with the /cleanfinders command line switch to see if that
fixes anything.

In the Run box on the Start Menu enter:
Outlook.EXE /cleanfinders

No Vince, I'm afraid it didn't. Unread Mail opened up when I clicked it
showing the same folders, including some that had no unread mail.

I was a bit too hasty in replying. Although all the original folders
appeared initially I've since clicked on the Unread Mail folder again and
only those with unread mail appear.

Many thanks for your help.

I apologize for not including that in the steps. I normally do that as part
of the post 'finder cleaning'
