I would like to share my external hard drive with other computers on my
network. However, I do not wish to allow them to use my entire external Hard
Drive. Is there a way to limit how much space is used by computer name?

I'm sorry, but there's no way to control access based on computer
names.

If your computer has Windows XP Professional, you can disable simple
file sharing and control access based on user names. This web page
has details:

Windows XP Professional File Sharing

To limit other computers' use of the external hard drive, create a
folder of the desired size, and share only that folder. Don't share
the entire drive.

I'm replying to my own message to correct a mistake. I should have
said to create a partition of the desired size, not a folder. Assign
a drive letter to the partition, and share only that partition.

If the external hard drive is empty, you can use XP's built-in disk
management program (Start | Run | diskmgmt.msc) to partition the drive
and assign a drive letter. If there's data on the drive, you'll need
a partition manager program, such as BootIt NG, to shrink the existing
partition and create a new one.
