how do i get yahoo chess to work?

i go to yahoo games at yahoo.com and when i click on join chess lounge newbie
nook, just a large X shows up instead of the game. i think it has something
to do with java but i have java run time environment. Also, it might be my
google web accelerator or something. I'm seriously considering switching to
firefox as this explorer comes with all this !@#%ing !@%%^ on it that just
causes grief and is a waste of time.

In IE6 click tools and click "manage add-ons" from the drop down and update
the activeX controls for them. Java should be enabled (box checked) in tools

internet options > advanced > java. You might try the java website if you

still have problems.
