How do I get the last 5 documents listed when launching WORD?

Under Options, General, Receently used file list, it is not highlited so I
can enter a number and therefore, see recent documents when I launch Word.
This problem is also with Excel.
 
If you are using TweakUI or a similar utility to suppress listing of recent
documents on the Start Menu, this will affect Word and Excel as well.
