How do I get the address to complete after entering a few letters

Windows 98 was so efficient for emails because when entering addresses the
complete address book listing would automatically enter after only a few
keystrokes. Is it possible to create that same function with Microsoft Office
2003?
 
Make sure the "Suggest names while completing To, CC and BCC fields" is
checked here: Tools menu > Options > Email Options > Advanced Email options
