How do I get rid of Windows Messenger?

Everytime I open my outlook mail, I get this box poping up that says I have
to verify my e-mail address. I don't use instant messenger nor do I want it
on my computer anymore. I have disabled it the best way that I know how, but
I want to delete it off my computer. Can you please help?

This is not an Office Outlook problem.

Which version of Windows? If XP, you might try here:
