How do I get rid of these annoying questions about pop-ups?

EVERY TIME I go into this newsgroups, I see people post (usually one after
another), questions about how to get rid of pop-ups. Well I want to know
how to get rid of them- these unending questions that is.

control panel, adminstrative tools, services, scroll

down and right click on messenger and select properties
second box down select disable.

say goodbye pop ups

Unfortunately there isn't any sure-way to do this (besides Microsoft turning off this service
by default).
