How do I get rid of the safely remove hardware icon in the systray?

I suspect this icon was leftover when I had my digital camera
connected to a usb port. Now I have disonnected it long ago and it is
still there. How do I get rid of it?

Just hide it. "Always Hide".

Do you have anything connected to USB? Printer maybe? With possible "card"
slots even?

I sent you an email as well. I have one printer connected and a open
usb to a scanner which I removed but the wires are still attached to
the port.

Maybe thats why I have this ovon still there?
