how do I get rid of "envelope" symbol in outlook when copying fro.

Help!!! Each time I copy something from word and paste in putlook it appears
as a symbol only - an envelope with an arrow pointing upward. The text,
however does not appear.

The access in this newsgroup's title refers to Microsoft Access, a
database product.
