How do I get rid of Apple?

Somehow Apple QuickTime has taken over all of the wav and midi sounds,
animations etc, in IE, and despite using every options setup utility I can
discover, to set things back to MS and Media player, the browser seems
oblivious and just keeps using QuickTime. Any suggestions appreciated,
thanks in advance.

you can change quicktime file associations in quicktime
preferences (run quick time
player/edit/preferences/quicktime preferences/file type
associations) or just remove quick time player by way of
add/remove programs

I think in this case the OP should look at the /Browser Plug-in/Mime Settings instead of the /file type associations.

Thanks for all. Actually I had already set Quick Time to no associations at
all, and Media Player to everything, and it worked for the Windows
environment, but not the browser. I believe you are right, the problem is/
was configuring the plug-in(s), I accomplished resetting everything by
uninstalling and reinstalling Quick Time, kind of a sloppy brute force way
of doing it. I'd get rid of Quick Time altogether, if I didn't need it to run
Red Shift 3, it's kind of a nuisance having two programs doing about the
same thing fighting for control, actually a bit inane. Thanks again,

You're welcome. Glad to hear that you got it working...and thanks for the feedback!
