How do i get receipt when contact opens my e.mail

when i send an e.mail. waht do i have to do to get an acknowledgement that
they have answered it

If they've answered it, the reply you received from them tells you they've
answered it, doesn't it? Are you really asking that you want to know
they've received it or opened it? What version of Outlook?
