How do I get my web site functional in the Netscape web browser?

I have setup a web site with Front Page 2002 and it is not working for people
who use Netscape, Mozilla, or Firefox, I need to know how I can get it
functional for them so they can view my web site, any help will be greatly
appreciated.

I guess we'd have to know; in what way is it not functional for them...or better yet, post the URL.

| The problem is this: the hyperlinks and graphics don't work for the
| mentioned browsers.

The site does not work for me in IE6 either - I find it difficult to read
miniscule light blue text on a (slightly darker) light blue background.

The email link worked perfectly - but is going to get you lots of spam,
eventually.

As Rob said, your problem with other browsers is the use of VML graphics and
implementation of background sound. Placing text and images in text-boxes
(VML graphics) effectively prevents hyperlinks from working in non-IE
browsers. Also, your implementation of Absolute Positioning may be causing
problems.
The <bgsound...> tag is IE only, and background sound will drive a lot of
people away from the site. [Although I immediately stopped the sound
playing (it clashed with my CD), this is one of the very, very, very few
sites where the noise may be relevant.]

Since Netscape is simply one of those web browsers that behaves differenty
than say, IE, you will have to design your site for those that are using
Netscape, Mozilla and Firefox and add Netscape, Mozilla and Firefox to your
"preview in browser" list and see how it comes out in all three web browsers
after you design it. If there are any problems with it, then you must go
back and make the changes so that they work properly the next time you go to
preview them. This is exactly what the web designers do and it's the only
way to do it.

By "differenty" I assume you mean appropriaty - which is exactly what is
happening.

By different, I guess you're assuming that the MS VML is some kind of
standard?

I use IE6 also and I have no problems seeing my web site. All I need is for
someone who can help me get it right.

Okay if I have to make changes, how do I do it? I am relatively new to this
and want to get it right, so that I can get my site seen by the people who
use the other browsers, I am getting ready to do as you suggested for the
preview in browser, will let you know if it works. And thanks, you had some
advise and gave some help to point me to something to try, if it soesn't work
I hope you can explain how for me to try the other thing you suggested. Again
thanks

Layout your pages with tables.
Remove the text boxes.
Remove the absolute positioning.
Change the font colour/background colour combination on the inner pages so
that the text can be read - at the moment it is difficult to read.
Read http://www.interlacken.com/winnt/tips/tipshow.aspx?tip=29
and remember that Text Boxes are drawing objects.
