how do i get Internet Explorer to open using Outlook?

Hi,
Internet Explorer opened, go to Tools, Internet Options, under the Programs
tab - check "Internet Explorer should check whether it is the default
browser", click Apply, then OK. Close Internet Explorer. The next time you
open Internet Explorer it will ask if you want to make it the default
browser, answer yes.

Hi, and thanks for responding but I already did that and Netscape still
opens. I even went to netscape tools and it is NOT set as default browser.
very strange. any other suggestions besides calling microsoft and paying
$35.00?

Sounds like you have to fix the associate in the HTML file types.

Try this: Start IE and click Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Reset Web
Settings. If that doesn't work, fix the file type association for the HTML
file type.
