I have made a custom hit counter image as per the KB suggestion, in the
correct .gif format, and saved it in a folder on my website. I checked the
custom.gif box and gave the file location as a url. I can not get it to
display. What am i doing wrong?

Is your web FP extension enabled.
And..
is your gif 0-9 and divisible by 10?

Be sure to specify the URL of the hit counter picture relative to the root of
your Web site, and without a leading slash.
