I have two seperate email accounts with Comcast and want to receive
emails
from each account in a seperate, inbox in Outlook 2003. I've created
two
Personal Folders and each has an inbox and the other folders that go
with a
Personal Folder. But email from both accounts will only be received in
one
inbox.
All POP3 accounts gets their inbound e-mails aggregrated into one Inbox.
That is because you only have one message store. Whichever is
designated as the .pst file to receive your inbound e-mails is the one
where they will appear in its Inbox.
Create 2 folders somewhere in your default message store (the designated
to received inbound e-mails). Then use rules to route them from the
Inbox to these special folders based on the account through which the
e-mail was received.
Or, don't bother with moving the e-mails and instead just add the
"E-mail Account" column to the message list pane (right-click on the
header row and add the column). Then you can see through which account
an e-mail was received.
Or, use rules to assign a category to an e-mail based on which account
through it was received and then customize your view to add automatic
formatting on items with that category to use a different font and/or
color.
